Mial Instruments Doubles Down on 'Make in India' with New Flow and Level Measurement Launches

Flow and BTU metering specialist Mial Instruments Pvt. Ltd. says it is backing the government's 'Make in India' push, with all its products now engineered, manufactured, and calibrated at an ISO-certified facility within the country. The company positions this as a way to speed up delivery, offer more customisation, and strengthen after-sales support for its HVAC-R and industrial customers. Product line refresh The company recently updated its electromagnetic and clamp-on ultrasonic flow meters, adding newer versions with built-in data logging. It has also widened its catalogue with ultrasonic level sensors and radar level meters aimed at broader industrial and HVAC use cases. An insertion-type electromagnetic flow meter is reportedly in development, targeted at customers who need a more flexible, lower-cost inline metering option. Built for modern, connected plants Mial's pitch to HVAC-R operators centres on instrumentation that plugs into building management and SCADA systems. Its flow and energy meters support digital protocols such as Modbus, enabling remote monitoring, centralised data access, and preventive maintenance — features increasingly expected in newer commercial and industrial plants. Every meter reportedly ships with an individual factory wet-calibration certificate and test report, and the company points to its work on projects like the Burj Khalifa as evidence of reliability at scale. Where it's focusing next For 2026, the company says it's targeting commercial buildings, data centres, hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities, airports, district cooling projects, and large industrial HVAC installations — segments where accurate energy monitoring and BMS integration carry real weight.
